The skills our grandparents used every day without a second thought — the ones we’ve lost to convenience, next-day delivery and searching online for how to do the simplest things. Come and get them back.

Pickling, jams and relishes at the barn, with the apple press out while the apples last. Come and make, come and learn, or come and potter about with a cup of something. It’s for all the family, and no experience at all is needed.

What to bring

Clean jam jars and lids (plastic-lined rather than bare metal — we’ll sterilise them at the barn), a bottle or two for fresh juice, and any surplus produce.

Make a day of it

Stay on for From Fleece to Fabric, our wool afternoon, from 1pm–4pm — book one or both. (The wool afternoon is for ages 13 and up.)
